Statement of Faith

Our Statement of Faith

We believe in one God inclusive of three distinctive persons, namely, the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost.

We justify that belief by faith (which is understood by the believer) and fact, which is understood by the non-believer.

The faith part needs no description as once you have it, you will indeed know it.

Our statement of God is to the unbeliever and the fact is the entire universe screams out in praise for a designer/Creator

The way we are provided for with agriculture and animals for meat and clothing as well as the ever constant supply of water which Solomon declared came down (rain) went into the rivers, evaporated and went back up, only to repeat itself.

Such provision, along with night and day, had to be prepared by a greater power

We Have the Bible

There are many false books with partial truths and many lies such as the esv, the niv, the nasb and on and on. That is because Satan wants to try to destroy the valid written evidence for God but He has failed. The King James Bible is the valid scriptures descended by God’s Spiritual influence from the first writings. It is without error.

It is the most accurate, historical book in the world.

2,500 prophecies appear in the pages of the Bible, about 2,000 of which already have been fulfilled to the letter.

There is no book on the face of the earth like it.

The Bible was written over a period of roughly 2,000 years by 40 different authors from three continents, who wrote in three different languages.

It is actually 66 books in one. Written by over 40 authors through the centuries from different places yet, each book is a cohesive piece of the whole.

When we go to history, there is no better historical proof, than the Bible.

We Have Jesus

Jesus, the second person of the trinity. Described in the very first line of the Bible. Gen. 1:1 In the beginning, Elohim created the heavens and the earth.

Elohim is a Hebrew word depicting more than duo.

Jesus is further explained in every portion of the Bible that declares “The Angel of The Lord”

He was in the burning bush. He met Abraham on the way to Sodom. He was with the Father and Spirit as they went to confound the languages at Babel. He stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac and there are many more appearances of Him in the Bible.

He is explained in John 1:1

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Later, it describes who that word was:

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Jesus, continued to be described/announced by John the Baptist and later by all His disciples but being anyone can have friends testify for them the greater proof is the testimony of His enemies:

Joh_5:18 “Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. “

Php 2:6 “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God”

He had many prophecies of His coming declaring Him as “Emmanuel” (God with us) and I could go on but time and space do not allow.

We Have the Holy Spirit

Who, by the way, created the world with the Father (Gen 1:1) the son (Joh 1:3 (“All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”) and Gen 1:2 (“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”)

The Holy Spirit convinces us of sin, He convicts He testifies to Christ. He dwells inside the believer. He enters upon salvation. We are sealed with Him (not by but with) as He is our actual seal of salvation. He is with us in the world and when He is taken away prior to the Tribulation, we will go with Him based on the fact that He will not “unseal” us. He is called the “Earnest” which means the security deposit for Christ as He will come to redeem us in the future.

That is just a nutshell of an enormous amount of evidence that proclaims the God of the Bible. For those who believe differently, I would simply ask, In what have you based your beliefs? In your own mind? In someone else’s mind? Both are subject to fail. The above shows many proofs and there are so many more if you choose to examine the facts.

Jer 29:13 “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Jer 29:14 “And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.”

God promises that if you sincerely seek Him, you will find Him and He will deliver you from sin and give you eternal life.

We Have the Church

The Church is not a building but comes from the Greek word, “Ekklesia” meaning “The called out ones”

Simply speaking it means that God has called us unto Him and we should respond. The Bible tells us all about the Church but to put it in a short statement, the Church gathers to:

Worship God, seek His will corporately, Praise Him as He is deserving. It is also where when we come together we teach and preach the word to instruct us in the scriptures. We build each other up in love and if there is true need, we will meet that need. We must – Heb 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Our instruction comes from the meetings we have and we should not miss them as we will also miss the instruction. Our growth depends on our participation in prayer, study and the coming together of the saints.

We believe in the Church as a living spiritual body by which Christ is the Head and of which all regenerated people are members. We believe that the local Church is a company of believers in Jesus Christ, buried with Him in baptism and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that the visible churches are committed, for observance “till He comes” the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s supper; and that God has laid upon those the task of persuading a lost world to accept Christ as Savior and to enthrone Him Lord and Master. We believe human betterment and social improvement are essential products of the Gospel.

We believe that every human being is responsible to God alone in all matters of faith.

We believe that each church is independent and autonomous and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority, that therefore, Church and State must be kept separate as having different functions, each fulfilling its duties free from the dictates or patronage’s of others.

We Have Salvation

Salvation is the most important. What will we be saved from? The fire of Hell. We could explain Hell for hours but let it suffice to say it is a place of eternal torment.

What does Salvation get for us? A place in eternal bliss with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Why do we need a Saviour?

Well, if you recall the story of Adam and Eve, you will remember that God told them that all in the Garden was theirs except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. That when they ate from that they would die.

They did and in that day they died spiritually and was ejected from the Garden of Eden. They also died physically in the day of the Lord which was 1000 years. What does that have to do with us you might ask? We were with Adam in his dna when he sinned and when he was evicted. The Bible says in Adam, all have sinned and so salvation is being reunited with God after accepting the fact that Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sin. The sin was disobedience and all subsequent sin was a result of our being sinners.

The process of salvation is when we realize we are damned, we repent and ask for forgiveness and if it was a real decision for Christ, you are saved.

It is at that point (one Baptism) that the Holy Spirit enters in and seals you forever.

We Have Baptism

Baptism is really two fold. When you are saved the Holy Spirit Baptizes (immerses) us with His presence. However, after that we have been commanded by our Lord (Matthew 3:15–17; Acts 2:38). To undergo a full immersion in water (Baptism) This is actually an outward sign of your new, inward belief. It is a proclamation of the transformation which caused you to be in Christ.

In Summary

To shorten our statement (You can always contact us for more) we believe:

In eternal Security-Once saved always saved

Membership is for the saved but all who will learn without distraction may attend services

While we agree that not all sins are the same (i.e. adultery vs. lying) we do attest that separation from God is what keeps us from Him not individual sin but because we are sinners.

Marriage is one man-one woman

Divorce is acceptable only by Biblical exceptions

A spouse may leave the partner in the case of severe abuse… but that does not entitle them to a divorce

Finally, is the case for independent leadership of each Church. We believe that although other Churches may practice something, it does not necessarily make that practice Biblical but only discretionary to the particular Pastor.

For example, although many do, we do not believe woman wearing pants is evil or against scripture. Pants are not gender oriented however in the case of a man wearing a dress, we do disagree.
